Hidden Blade Altair Costume Tutorial
A great tutorial on this game legend. The sound is a little low, so you'll have to crank your speakers up.
Tutorial: Orc Costume
I came across a great tutorial for making a Lord of the Rings styled orc costume. Even if you are not interested in this costume theme, it's still a great tutorial for other projects. Click on the photo to view the tutorial.
A Secret to Great Costumes ... Get Dirty!
A little known secret to a great costume set up is uncleanliness. Whether you are playing a pirate, barbarian or even a dwarven warrior, making your costume look WORN is a great way to make your costume look more authentic!
Need to be Petable?
A lot of my costumes require furs and leathers for their construction. Over the years, I happened upon an excellent website at http://www.chichesterinc.com/. I usually buy my rabbit furs from them (they always had great pricing). A couple of years ago I bought 35 furs for $0.95 - and I'm still using some of them today! Though their prices have risen since then, they do fluctuate depending on the season. In addition, they buy furs not from farms, but from the food industries in Europe and Latin America - better to not let it go to waste.
